Event design and creative direction in Los Angeles.
How your celebration looks and feels, designed as one piece. The planning stays with you or whoever you've chosen, and we take care of the look.

The look of the day, given its own attention.
Event design is the part of our work that decides what guests see: the colors they walk into, what sits on the tables, how the room is lit. We offer it as a service of its own for clients who want that part done with care and have the rest covered another way.
It starts where all our work starts, with your story. Before we suggest a single color, we want to know who you're celebrating, what you love and what you'd like people to remember.

From a feeling to a finished room.
You might come to us with a mood more than a plan: some photos you've kept, a season you love, a dinner you still think about. That's enough to begin. We listen for what keeps coming up and turn it into a direction you can see and react to.
The direction becomes a palette, and the palette guides every choice after it: the flowers and where they sit, the linens and glassware, the menus and place cards, the candles. You see each piece before it is settled, and we adjust until the whole room holds together.
Every vendor builds from that same design, so the room your guests walk into is the one you approved.

What design covers.
Design and creative direction takes in everything your guests will see. These are the pieces we shape with you.
The palette
A set of colors drawn from your story, the venue and the season, which every later choice is measured against.
Florals
Flowers for the tables, the entrance and anywhere else they belong, designed to the palette and planned with the florist.
Tablescapes
Linens, plates, glassware, candles and centerpieces chosen together, so each table looks finished from every seat.
Paper
Invitations, menus, place cards and signs that share the palette, so the design reaches your guests before they arrive.
Light
Candlelight and lighting planned for the room and the hour, so the space feels warm once everyone is inside.
The design in one place
The palette, the pieces and how they fit together, gathered into one document for you and every vendor to work from.
How the design comes together.
Design follows a clear order, and you see every stage before we move to the next.

Your inquiry
Choose design and creative direction in the inquiry form, or say you're not sure yet. A date, the venue if you have one and a rough guest count help us picture it.
-
Listening
We get in touch to hear what you are celebrating and what you picture. Saved images, a favorite color or a place that stayed with you all help.
-
The direction
We come back with a palette and a direction for the whole celebration, then shape it with you until it feels like yours.
-
The details
Florals, tables, paper and light are worked out one by one, and each vendor is briefed so everyone builds toward the same look.

Before the day
Your vendors have the finished design to work from. Whether we're also there for the setup is something we agree with you in the proposal.
A room that looks like the people celebrating in it.
Who event design is for.
Design on its own suits clients who have the logistics in hand and want help with how it all looks.
You're planning it yourself.
You're comfortable with vendors and schedules, and you'd like a designer to give the celebration a clear point of view.
You already have a planner.
We can work alongside the planner you've chosen, taking on the design while they look after the logistics.
Your venue handles a lot already.
Some venues bring their own coordinator and catering. Design ties those pieces together with a palette and a look of your own.
The look is what you care about most.
If the colors, the flowers and the tables are what you find yourself thinking about, this service puts our attention there.
Design beside our other services.
Event design is one of four ways to work with us. Full planning includes design along with everything else.

Design plus the venue, vendors, timeline and budget, all held by us from the start.

Questions about event design.
Some things people ask before choosing design on its own.
Do we need a planner to book event design?
No. You can plan the rest yourself, keep a planner you already work with or rely on your venue's team. We work with whoever is handling the logistics.
We've already booked a florist. Can you still design?
Yes. We design with the vendors you've chosen. If you haven't booked some of them yet, we can suggest people whose work suits the direction.
How is event design priced?
We quote each design once we understand its scale: how many tables, how much floral work and how much of the space we're shaping. The budget range in your inquiry helps us propose a design that fits it.
When should we reach out about design?
A good moment is once you have a date and know the venue, because the room shapes so much of the design. If you are earlier or later than that, write to us anyway.
Can we add planning later?
Yes. If you find you'd like more help along the way, tell us and we'll talk about moving to partial or full planning.
